Travel photography is like a beer in a local pub, a home-cooked meal, or a ticket on a bus to a somewhere new. It’s a portal to new people and experiences. The camera is a bridge to another’s life, but the photograph is the end result of that connection not the focus. And when life seems to stop, I always fall back into travel photography. In 2020, when the world ravaged by Covid-19 stood on the edge of uncertainty, I found solace in America’s national parks, which became ‘America On Wheels’. In 2023, the film and television industry ground to a halt on the back of a writer’s strike, so I found peace in India, traveling for 3-months, trying to experience as much of a notably diverse country. This experience became ‘An Indian Odyssey’. Travel photography always offers a lifeline when other doors seem to shut.
